About Us
First, about our name - Lydia refers to a businesswoman from Bible history who used her financial success to support those who advanced early Christianity. The Lydia Tree was founded in 2006 to assist faith-filled people who have been purposed to do extraordinary acts of service and outreach in their spheres of influence. We are women and men who bring business awareness to philanthropy, to help those who do the front line work of modern-day missionaries and humanitarians. We are guided by the principles in our statement of faith and the desire to demonstrate Christlike integrity in all we do.
Over the years, we've given micro grants to support many humble and sincere causes worldwide that are mission-aligned, well-timed and targeted to unmet needs.
Our Mission
To support small acts of ministry that have the potential for great positive impact on their surrounding communities. We want to bring together Christian leaders, business, financial, philanthropic and community leaders who can work together to fulfill Christ’s purposes and benefit our communities.
Our Vision
To be an established, financially sound, and morally and fiscally accountable foundational resource for funding, networking assistance, information and guidance for emerging and developing organizations that aim to impact Church life, the community and the marketplace.
