The Lydia Tree seeks to be spiritually aligned, financially efficient and ethically accountable, with effective corporate governance, operational leadership and well-defined standards.
Corporate Governance
We believe sound management and oversight are important characteristics of any organization, perhaps even more so for faith-based organizations. We are incorporated as a nonprofit organization and governed by a Board of Directors and Officers according to state law, and are registered as a 501(c)(3) public charity with the Internal Revenue Service. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors, officers and advisors.
Board of Directors
Our volunteer board is experienced in business, finance and ministry development. They oversee the corporation according to our formal bylaws. Matters affecting the structure and core operations of The Lydia Tree as well as funding decisions are reviewed and approved by the Board. All Board members have agreed to abide by our Conflict of Interest Policy.
Operational Leadership
The Lydia Tree has no paid staff. Management and administrative operations are carried out by the leadership team and volunteers. These activities include the daily administration, fundraising, coordination of activities and processing of grant requests.
